- We collaborate with leading suppliers to source materials that exceed industry quality standards and meet our own rigorous requirements. This is known by our suppliers as “The Columbia Standard”. Starting with the finest raw materials equates to less waste and higher consistency, ensuring a superior finished product while also benefiting our planet.
- We use high-quality panel products that surpass the CARB II, TSCA VI, and ESP low formaldehyde emission requirements.
- We utilize responsibly sourced wood with a strong chain of custody, including panel products made from recovered and recycled material or derived from responsibly managed forests.
- We offer a low VOC finish without compromising the finish quality.
- We distill our waste finishing material to recover solvents for re-use in the factory.
- We computer-optimize materials and use state-of-the-art machinery to maximize efficiency and yield and minimize waste.
- We recycle and repurpose our off cuts.
- We manage our processes with the guidance of our Continuous Improvement team, championing staff education and improved performance with lean manufacturing principles.
